Job Description

Arcadis are looking for a Capital Project Accountant to support the capital programme at a large pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Kinsale, Co. Cork. As part of the project controls group within the site project engineering team, the role works closely with project managers, project controls, and procurement teams.

 

Responsibilities

Project Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and reconcile monthly capital cash flow, ensuring project spend is accurately reflected.
  • Ensure cash flow forecasts reflect committed but unpaid project costs.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between actual cash outflows and forecast capital spend
  • Maintain a rolling 12-month capital cash flow forecast, updated monthly in line with revised project timelines and approved budget changes.
  • Perform year-end cash flow

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the point of contact for project managers on capital accounting matters.

 

Requirements

Essential

  • Recognised professional accountancy qualification
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a capital accounting or project accounting.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP).

Desirable

  • Direct experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector, ideally supporting GMP manufacturing or laboratory capital programmes.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. MS Project or Primavera).
  • Advanced Excel or data visualisation skills (Power BI, Tableau).
