Job Description

Arcadis DPS Engineering are seeking an Electrical Facilities Technician for a pharmaceutical assignment located in Ringaskiddy, Cork. This is initially a 12-month contract. Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain power distribution, lighting, emergency generators, and process gas delivery systems.
  • Oversee wastewater treatment plant operations, ensuring environmental compliance and efficiency.
  • Maintain solar systems, life safety (fire & gas), sprinkler, and low-pressure hot water systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical assets (switchgears, transformers, distribution panels).
  • Work closely with engineering and site teams on projects and upgrades.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, compliance, and system performance.
  • Ensure all activities meet safety and GMP standards, including LOTOTO procedures. Requirements
  • Trade qualification or Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in facilities/utilities management within GMP or regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure, safety standards, and GMP requirements.
  • Experience with electrical systems such as alarm management, emergency power, and UPS systems.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex electrical issues.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
