Lead Electrical Engineer

Position summary: The Lead Engineer/Electrical Technical Specialist reports to the Electrical Manager. The technical specialist is a key support for the department manager and shall support the department manager in ensuring the technical competency of the department personnel. The technical specialist shall take on design roles up to and including Lead roles as designated by their department manager.

Main Duties: Responsible for the assisting the department manager, in ensuring correct code compliance of the Electrical designs.

The Lead Engineer/Electrical Technical Specialist responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following:

• Maintaining technical competency in the fields of electrical design
• Reviewing projects, designated by the department manager, as part of the independent review requirements for other designers’ projects
• Assist department manager on relevant regulatory compliance on projects within the Dublin Operation for Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
• Assist in the development and management of relevant technical standards and codes within the Dublin Operation to align with Group knowledge management system. Overseas, the compliance of engineering deliverables to latest codes and standards.
• Support manager on the training and knowledge transfer requirements and ongoing development of department personnel
• Provide technical support
• Carrying out designs up to Lead level, as designated by the department manager which includes but not limited to the following project responsibilities:
• Preparation of deliverables
