Job Description

DPS Engineering are seeking a Turnaround E&I Lead for an assignment located in East Cork (Oil & Gas)

This role will support critical shutdowns across the facility and is essential for ensuring all electrical and instrumentation tasks are completed safely and efficiently during turnaround projects. This is a 12-month contract initially with the potential to become a permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Gather and define the scope for turnaround E&I projects to meet objectives.
• Develop and manage detailed job plans and schedules; estimate costs for budgeting.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Act as the principal liaison between the turnaround team and maintenance E&I staff.
• Lead interactive planning sessions and risk reviews.
• Oversee daily progress during execution, addressing any issues quickly and efficiently.
• Manage resources effectively, ensuring adequate staffing and equipment.
• Document all phases of planning and execution using digital tools.
• Review and implement improvements from past projects for continuous enhancement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field, or a strong trades background in E&I.
• Proven experience in a similar role, particularly in turnaround projects or maintenance planning.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with project management software.
• Excellent communication skills for effective liaison and reporting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
