AutoCAD Technician

About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician to join our client’s engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of high-impact projects within a dynamic and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the production of technical designs and drawings across disciplines including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and building services.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop detailed engineering drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD 2021, including P&ID, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical layouts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to convert concepts into accurate technical documentation.
- Ensure all work meets internal quality standards through routine drawing checks.
- Maintain and manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Participate in all essential training provided to support your role development.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required in line with evolving project and business needs.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with AutoCAD preferred; candidates with less experience will be considered if recently trained or certified.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow within the role is highly valued.
- Familiarity with P&ID drawings and HVAC/building services is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a diverse team.
- Fluent English required.
- Professional and courteous approach to working with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Experience with large-format plotters is beneficial.
- Experience with Revit, Navisworks, and drawing control systems is a plus, but not essential.
- Understanding of revision control for electronic and paper-based drawings is advantageous.
