What you’ll do

• Prepare, negotiate, and manage all project budgets and cost plans.
• Procure and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance and timely payments.
• Identify and oversee commercial risks and contractual matters.
• Produce detailed monthly cost and value reconciliation reports.
• Lead and mentor your commercial team, working closely with operations to ensure successful outcomes.

What we’re looking for

• Degree-qualified professional with solid civil engineering experience—particularly across clean water, marine, ports, flood, and defence projects.
• Strong understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Excellent financial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Highly organised and self-motivated, able to meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
• Flexibility to travel to project sites across Scotland as required.
