Freelance Site Manager – Major Pipeline Project (Carlisle)
�� Location: Carlisle (base)
�� Duration: 18 months (starting January)
�� Engagement: Freelance
⏰ Hours: 7am – 7pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend work required)

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team for a major 25km pipeline installation project in the Carlisle area. The scheme, valued at £16 million, offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile, long-term infrastructure development.

Site Manager

• Overall responsibility for day-to-day site operations on the £16m pipeline project
• Managing subcontractors, workforce, and materials on site
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Working closely with the senior management team to deliver project milestones
• Supported by Peter and the wider engineering and commercial teams
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in civil engineering projects (ideally utilities, water, or pipeline works)
• CSCS and SMSTS (for Site Manager)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage workload on a busy, fast-paced project
