Location: Fife (with travel to various sites across Central Scotland)
Salary: £50,000 – £62,000 (depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 1 day home working, minimum 1 day on site, remaining days in the office

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take on a diverse and rewarding role with a well-established and forward-thinking housebuilder?

We’re working with a respected residential developer that operates across Central Scotland and is known for delivering high-quality homes and communities. With a portfolio typically spanning 9–11 active sites at any given time—including projects nearing completion and new developments about to break ground—there’s plenty of variety and opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact.

About the Role:

As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in managing costs, budgets, and commercial performance across multiple residential construction projects. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and wider project teams, you'll contribute to project planning, valuation, procurement, and contract administration from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and valuations
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement and payments
  • Conduct site visits and liaise with site teams to monitor progress and variations
  • Support with cost reporting and ensure projects remain within budget
  • Collaborate with internal departments including construction, design, and finance

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within residential construction
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and within a team

What’s on Offer:

  • Salary of £50,000 – £62,000 depending on experience
  • Opportunity to be part of a stable and growing business with a strong pipeline of work
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
