Job Description

Senior Planner – Glasgow

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for planning excellence in construction? Ready to play a pivotal role in shaping complex projects and influencing outcomes from bid through to delivery?

We’re working with a leading, family-owned business operating across construction, infrastructure, and support services. With a strong reputation for innovation, sustainability, and delivering quality, they’re now looking for a Senior Planner to join their Glasgow-based team.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Planner, you’ll take the lead in developing and implementing robust planning strategies across key regional projects. This is more than a scheduling role – it’s your chance to influence commercial outcomes, drive efficiencies, and play an integral part in winning work and ensuring successful delivery.

You’ll be the go-to planning expert across bid and construction stages, engaging with internal stakeholders, clients, and the supply chain to ensure programme excellence at every step.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine planning procedures and protocols across bid and construction phases.
  • Manage planning input for regional tenders, identifying programme risks, constraints, and commercial opportunities.
  • Produce innovative, efficient logistics and programming solutions to support winning bids.
  • Engage with supply chain partners to ensure programme strategies are aligned and achievable.
  • Lead programme transition from pre-construction to delivery, ensuring all assumptions, risk allowances, and opportunities are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Support client presentations and board reviews with clear, insightful programme reporting.
What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrable experience in planning or a front-end project management role within construction.
  • Strong understanding of design, procurement, and commercial functions, and how they influence project timelines.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and challenge the norm to deliver planning excellence.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to grow your career within a forward-thinking and ambitious organisation
