Assistant Facades Manager – Tier 1 Contractor
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland
Contract Type: Permanent

We are partnering with one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 building contractors, currently delivering a landmark development in the heart of Edinburgh city centre. As the project progresses through its early stages, they are now seeking a motivated Assistant Facades Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project and gain invaluable experience alongside some of the most experienced professionals in the industry. You will support the Facades Manager in coordinating design, procurement, and delivery of a technically challenging façade package—ensuring quality, programme, and safety objectives are met throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing façade subcontractors from tender stage through to installation and final handover.

• Support the review and coordination of technical drawings, specifications, and method statements.

• Collaborate with the design team, consultants, and supply chain to resolve interface and technical issues.

• Attend and contribute to progress and design meetings, facilitating clear communication across stakeholders.

• Monitor on-site activities, track key progress indicators, and help maintain adherence to programme milestones.

• Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety across all façade-related works.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience with façade or envelope packages, either with a main contractor or specialist subcontractor.

• Solid technical knowledge of curtain walling, cladding systems, and façade interface coordination.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

• Degree or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous.
