Contract Scotland is recruiting an experienced and motivated Managing Quantity Surveyor for a major long-term civil engineering project in North East Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading commercial role on a high-profile infrastructure scheme that will have a significant impact across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a commercial team across multiple workstreams.

• Oversee cost/value reporting, cashflow management, and forecasting.

• Manage procurement, subcontractor accounts, and change control.

• Provide commercial input during pre-construction and tender phases.

• Work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to deliver commercial objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong leadership experience managing commercial teams.

• Background in civil engineering projects.

• Excellent understanding of NEC contracts.

• Relevant qualification (Degree, HNC, or HND in a commercial or construction discipline).

• Strong contractual and negotiation skills.
