Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a Building Services Contractor based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering mechanical building services packages on large new build projects across the public & private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline targets are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project specifications and requirements are met.
- Lead and motivate a project team to ensure performance and productivity.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage change orders, claims, and variations in line with project specifications.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with clients to secure repeat business opportunities.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in mechanical or engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and scheduling.
