Job Description

Contract Scotland is recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for a Site Agent to deliver a key infrastructure project within Edinburgh Airport.

About the Role:

  • Initial works (June – September 2025) will involve construction of an airside compound on disused airport land, including:

    • Earthworks and drainage

    • Utilities and road construction

    • Concrete foundations/hardstands

    • Modular office installation

    • Fencing works

  • From November 2025, focus will shift to supporting a major runway rehabilitation programme operating across day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site operations and manage on-site teams and subcontractors

  • Ensure compliance with airport-specific security and operational procedures

  • Liaise with Edinburgh Airport representatives to coordinate permits, access, and notifications

  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance

  • Ensure programme, quality, and cost targets are met

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working on airside or landside projects at Edinburgh Airport

  • Familiarity with airport systems, permit processes, and security protocols

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Relevant certifications: SMSTS (essential), First Aid, Appointed Person (desirable)

  • Proven background in civil engineering delivery, ideally in safety-critical or secure environments
