Job Description

A well-known main contractor based in Stirling is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to support their busy work pipeline across the central belt of Scotland. They have a long-standing presence in the Scottish market, spanning both the public and private sectors, and boast a proud history of promoting talent from within.

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a team or Senior/Quantity Surveyors, and leading the commercial aspects of 2-3 construction projects simultaneously; ensuring that they are delivered to the highest standard and within budget.

Key duties:
- Preparing and submitting tenders, estimates, and proposals
- Negotiating and managing contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Providing commercial guidance and support to project teams
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Monitoring project budgets and financial performance
- Mentoring and developing junior members of the commercial team

To be considered for this role, you will be a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor with extensive commercial experience within a main contracting environment. You will have a working knowledge of construction contracts and procurement, and experience managing multiple project and project teams simultaneously.
