SENCO (Secondary School) – 3 Days per Week – September 2025 Start

Location: Near Irchester, Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2025
Working Pattern: 3 days per week
Contract Type: Part-time / Ongoing or Permanent

A supportive and inclusive secondary school near Irchester is seeking a qualified and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join them from September 2025 for three days per week.

This is a non-teaching role, focusing on key SENCO responsibilities such as annual reviews and consultations. It's an ideal opportunity for someone looking to use their SEN expertise in a strategic, pastoral, and administrative capacity without classroom teaching.

The Role:

• Lead and manage the annual review process for students 

• Attend and contribute to local authority consultations

• Liaise with parents, carers, external agencies, and internal staff

• Ensure all paperwork, records, and compliance around SEND provision is up to date

• Provide guidance and support to the SEND team and wider staff

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds (or is working towards) the NASENCO qualification

• Has prior experience in a SENCO or similar SEND leadership role

• Has a thorough understanding of SEND legislation, processes, and statutory responsibilities

• Confident in managing paperwork, reports, and liaising with multiple stakeholders

• Excellent communicator and highly organised
