Coba education is currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to support a Primary age child on a 1:1 basis.

The 1:1 Learning Support Assistant is a temporary position to begin in January and is expected to be required until July.

Job Summary:

To provide support to Teachers across a range of activities to promote development and learning, including providing 1:1 support for students with SEN. Undertaking support programmes which ensure full access to learning opportunities through close working relationships with the Class Teacher and SEN department.

Responsibilities include:

* Supporting a child on a 1:1 basis, with a variety of self-help skills that are part of everyday learning and school experience and reporting back on progress or difficulties

* Supporting the child’s individual learning and development

*Supervising activities of individuals or groups of students where planned to take place in school

* Helping the child to develop their literacy and numeracy skills

* Support the child’s emotional wellbeing

* Assist the child in carrying out schemes of work and programmes set by teaching staff

* Contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning activities

* Assist in the recording of pupil’s progress

* Contribute to the maintenance of pupil’s records

* Liaise effectively with parents and other parties, as required

* Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection. Reporting all concerns to the appropriate person

* Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
