Class 2 Driver – Automotive Parts Delivery (Temp to Perm Opportunity)
Location: Sunderland, Washington, Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay Rate: £13.96 - £24.80 per hour with overtime and shift allowance
Shift Pattern: Rotating day and late shifts

Central Employment is currently recruiting reliable and experienced 7.5T Drivers to work with our established automotive supply client. You will play a key role in the delivery of car parts to major clients operating from sites across the North East.

This is a hands-on role that involves both driving and supporting the loading and unloading of goods. The position offers long-term opportunities, with the potential for permanent contracts after 3 to 6 months based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle safely and efficiently to deliver car parts to client sites.

• Assist with the manual loading and unloading of goods.

• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any defects.

• Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in line with health and safety regulations.

• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and obtain recipient signatures.

• Maintain high standards of customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.

Requirements:

• A valid UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement (7.5T).

• A valid Driver CPC qualification.

• A valid digital tachograph card.

• A proactive and reliable approach to both driving and manual tasks.

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

Shift Pattern:

This role operates on a two-shift rotation:

Day Shift:

• Monday to Thursday: 06:30 – 14:40

• Friday: 06:30 – 14:30

Late Shift:

• Monday to Thursday: 16:05 – 00:15

• Friday: 14:55 – 22:55
