We are working with a well-established engineering group based in Stockport, supplying high-value precision tooling to the aerospace, defence, nuclear, and space sectors. Operating from a 6.5-acre facility, the company has over 70 years of experience delivering turnkey engineering solutions, from concept through to full-scale manufacturing.
They are looking to appoint a Sales/Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth through market expansion, strategic partnerships, and key account development.
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Security Clearance: BPSS preferred
Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in core and adjacent markets
Support bid and proposal activity alongside technical and estimating teams
Monitor key commercial metrics, including quote volumes and conversion rates
Contribute to continuous improvement of sales and supply chain processes
Support wider strategic planning and profitability initiatives
Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, and exhibitions
Strong commercial background within defence and aerospace sectors
Established network across UKMOD programmes and associated supply chains
Proven track record in technical sales and key account management
Confident in leading bids and developing compelling commercial proposals
Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
Able to travel within the UK and Europe when required
