Job Description:
We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team in Thirsk. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing payroll operations with precision and efficiency. Key responsibilities include processing employee payments, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for all employees.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax deductions, and benefits.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the system.
- Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
