Salary: £13.00 – £15.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)
Hours: Between 8:00am – 6:00pm

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Kitchen Assistant to join a busy kitchen team in Chester-le-Street. This is a temporary ongoing role with immediate starts available.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the chefs in preparing food and maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Basic food and salad preparation
• Frying and cooking of simple foods
• Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and food prep areas
• Following food safety and hygiene standards
• Assisting the team with general kitchen duties

Requirements:

• Previous kitchen or catering experience
• Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (essential)
• Flexibility to work across any 5 days out of 7
• Availability to work between 8:00am – 6:00pm
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills
