Ledger Manager
Northumberland

We're on the lookout for a Ledger Manager to join our team at our office in Northumberland! This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

This position is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the general ledger function, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain compliance with current accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar general ledger or financial accounting leadership role.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, ideally SAP
  • Solid understanding of current accounting standards and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work on-site in Northumberland.
