Ledger Manager

We're on the lookout for a Ledger Manager to join our team at our office in Northumberland! This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
This position is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the general ledger function, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain compliance with current accounting standards and internal policies.
- Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar general ledger or financial accounting leadership role.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, ideally SAP
- Solid understanding of current accounting standards and practices.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work on-site in Northumberland.
