Admin / Finance Assistant – £25,000 per annum
Location: On-site | Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift
Job Type: Full-Time

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing, internationally operating Technology business as an Admin / Finance Assistant. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong administrative and finance experience, looking to play a key part in supporting business operations.

About the Role:
As part of the Admin and Accounts team, you will provide essential administrative and financial support to various departments, including Accounts, Operations, and Technical teams. You will also contribute to wider office functions, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative support to the Accounts, Operations, and Technical teams
  • Handling general enquiries via phone and email, directing them as appropriate
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and engineers
  • Raising purchase orders, generating invoices, and issuing sales quotations
  • Managing expenses, purchase ledger, and sales ledger processes
  • Resolving payment and account queries with suppliers and customers
  • Assisting with financial reporting, bank reconciliation, and database entry
  • Supporting the logistics team with packing, shipping, customs declarations, and use of TidyStock
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and maintaining accurate records

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in both administration and basic accounting
  • Working knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Drive
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, honest, and proactive, with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience with purchase ledger (essential)
  • Comfortable managing a varied workload and shifting priorities

Desirable:

  • Experience with stock management systems
  • Familiarity with import/export processes
