Industrial Project Leader
Location: Northumberland (with travel across UK sites)
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for industrial operations and transformation? We’re seeking an experienced Industrial Project Leader to drive high-impact projects across our UK manufacturing and supply chain network. This is a unique opportunity to lead initiatives such as production transfers, factory expansions or closures, and industrial footprint optimisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end industrial projects including site relocations, consolidations, and new facility setups.
- Develop and manage project roadmaps, budgets, and timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, R&D, HR, and finance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for strategic initiatives.
- Define and track KPIs to measure project success and operational impact.
- Oversee equipment relocation, installation, and commissioning.
- Optimise site layouts and cost structures for operational efficiency.
- Manage third-party suppliers and service providers.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial project management or manufacturing operations.
- Proven track record in factory setup, production transfers, and footprint restructuring.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Budget management and contract negotiation experience.
- Willingness to travel extensively across UK sites.
