Job Title: Concrete Batcher / HGV Mixer Driver (Training Provided)
Location: Ashington
Salary: £14.07 per hour + Overtime (1.5x Saturdays, 2x Sundays)
Hours: Mon–Thurs 07:00–16:30, Fri 07:00–15:00, Alternate Saturdays & occasional Sundays Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (3-month probation)

Central Employment is working on behalf of our client to recruit a reliable and motivated individual to join their operations team as a Concrete Batcher with HGV driving responsibilities.

Key Duties:

• Assist in the batching of concrete (full training provided)
• Operate an in-house HGV concrete mixer truck when required
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Provide cover during staff holidays and busy periods

Requirements:

• Experience driving larger vehicles (e.g. HGV, agricultural, plant machinery) is preferred
• HGV licence, CPC, and tachograph card are not required as driving is for in-house purposes only, however experience is preferred (as above)
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Immediate availability preferred for training to start promptly

The Offer:

• Starting hourly rate of £14.07
• Enhanced weekend rates: 1.5x on Saturdays, 2x on Sundays
• Alternate Saturdays are required as part of the rota
• Occasional Sundays may be required (approximately one per month)
• Full-time opportunity after successful 3-month probation
• Supportive team and on-the-job training provided
