Sample Maker 
Plastic Injection Molding
Location: Sedgefield, TS21
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Central Employment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading specialist in plastic injection moulding, for a Prototype/Sample Maker based in Sedgefield (TS21).

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision manufacturing. You’ll be responsible for developing moulds and producing high-quality plastic samples for customer evaluation and approval.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare moulds for sampling, including venting and polishing.
• Manufacture samples in line with technical drawings and specifications.
• Work closely with designers to gain approval for produced samples.
• Safely store patterns, plugs, and retained samples.
• Package and prepare samples for shipment to customers.
• Maintain accurate logs of samples for internal records.
• Keep the sample and pattern prep areas clean and organised.

Skills & Person Specification:

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Previous technical or mechanical experience is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
