Job Description

Field Service Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client. We are recruiting for a skilled Field Service Engineer to perform repair, installation and service on various Equipment used within Medical Devices Manufacturing Industry. The successful applicant will provide a high level of Technical Support to external customers while working under minimal supervision. The focus will be to provide on-site Calibration and Servicing of various equipment as well as Diagnosing and Repairing machines both in our facility in Galway and in the field. The position will also require the ability to Train users of the equipment supplied on basic functionality of the systems, as well as the ability to provide support from our Galway facility or from a remote location. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines.

ROLE:

* Provide on-site calibration, installation and validation of various equipment
* Perform hands-on troubleshooting, service and repairs
* Provide high level technical support to external customers at their location and from the office
* Provide on-site training to the customers
* Create and maintain service information in the company database
* Timely and professionally handle field service calls and issues arising from the field service visits
* Timely complete and submit all required paperwork
* Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions
* Misc. other duties commensurate with the capabilities of a Service Engineer

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical qualifications in mechanical engineering
* Experience in service and maintenance of Medical Device manufacturing equipment
* Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills
* Strong, professional customer service attitude and communication skills
* Problem solving ability and able to use initiative
* Good record keeping/documentation skills and working knowledge of MS Office, Excel
* Flexible and positive attitude
* Enjoy working as part of a close team
