Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering

Location: County Kerry   |   Salary: €55,000–€70,000 per annum

A well-established medium-sized civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a  Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial team in County Kerry. The role offers broad involvement in the commercial management of civil engineering projects and genuine scope to progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial management of civil engineering contracts from procurement through final account.
• Prepare valuations, cost reports, forecasts and subcontractor payment assessments.
• Measure works, manage variations and maintain accurate contract records.
• Source and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Work closely with site management to track budgets, progress and commercial risk.
• Support contract administration, claims and final account agreement.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• Ideally 3–6 years’ experience in a QS role with a civil engineering or infrastructure contractor.
• Understanding of measurement, subcontract procurement and cost control.
• Good Excel skills and strong commercial communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while working with the project team.

Salary & Opportunity

Basic salary of €55,000–€70,000 depending on relevant experience. Overall package to be confirmed.
