Role: Site Manager

Our client is a civil engineering and groundworks contractor working for main contractors and developers on residential and commercial projects across Dublin and the surrounding areas. They are recruiting a Site Manager to run their civils, groundworks, drainage and concrete packages on site, with responsibility for programme, workmanship and safety. Site hours are 07:00 to 17:00.

Responsibilities

• Run the civils, groundworks, drainage and concrete works on site day to day
• Make sure labour, plant, materials and resources are in place to meet the contract
• Coordinate subcontractors on site and keep works on track against the target schedule
• Monitor progress against the contract and internal programmes and flag delays early
• Feed progress data into the weekly project schedule
• Attend the daily whiteboard with the main contractor, coordinating works, deliveries and key risks
• Review and approve RAMS and SPAs
• Issue permits, including hot works and excavation permits
• Carry out site inductions, plant arrival inspections and GA1, GA2 and GA3 inspections
• Raise material requisitions on time and keep stock on site to a minimum with just-in-time ordering
• Monitor daily productivity, subcontractor performance, resource levels and quality of work
• Implement health, safety, quality and environmental procedures and keep housekeeping to a high standard

Requirements

• Trade background or a construction-related degree
• 5 to 7 years’ experience with a developer or civil engineering contractor
• Strong all-round experience across civils, groundworks, drainage and concrete packages
• Large residential or commercial project experience desirable
• Strong track record on HSSQ standards
• Able to get the best out of individuals, teams and trade contractors
• Organised and delivery focused, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
• Full driving licence
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications
