Our client is a Tier 1 main contractor recruiting a Design Manager for large-scale residential projects in Dublin. The role manages the flow of design information between the design team and site, from setting out through to procurement. A company vehicle or travel allowance is included.

Responsibilities

• Oversee setting out with the site team, coordinating the architectural and engineering information
• Coordinate utilities and services between the M&E engineers and utility providers
• Prepare and maintain the information required schedule with the Project Manager and Site Manager, issuing it to the architect and engineers in line with the contract programme
• Track the progress of design information and flag issues early
• Manage the technical submittal process for every element of the project, with a tracker aligned to the programme
• Maintain the procurement tracking schedule based on approved submittals and cost approvals
• Respond to and log project queries promptly

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience as a Design Manager, with large-scale residential experience
• Third-level qualification in engineering or architecture
• Main contractor experience desirable
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and planning
• Able to self-manage, prioritise and meet tight deadlines
• Clear communicator with colleagues and clients
