Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join their team.

The main purpose of this Warehouse Operative role is to be responsible for ensuring a sound logistics service is provided to the manufacturing teams, encompassing goods in, despatch and warehouse services. 

In return, our client is offering a salary of £25,500 P/A, 37 hour working week.

This role is full-time and 6 months fixed term contract, potential to go permanent. The hours of work will Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 13:00.

Reporting to the Hiring Manager your responsibilities will include:

• To ensure that products reach our external customer on time and the goods are packed and loaded in a quality manner so that there is no damage during transit.
• Case design and production from dimensions of finished goods to be transported (made to fit). Production of crate/pallet from raw materials as no standard pallets or boxes are used.
• General packing and wrapping required - shrink wrapping and labelling.
• Vehicle loading to pre-determined schedule.
• Looking after stock control from external goods.
• Movement of materials supporting the production team.
• Moving goods into the allocated storage area.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the Goods Inwards and storage areas.
• Moving finished parts within the production parts to the next area, creating a production flow.
• Supporting dispatch with making pallets/crates.

The ideal candidate:

• Experience within a logistics department in a manufacturing environment, goods in and goods out.
• Forklift truck licence – reach, 4 way & counterbalance.
• Manual lifting skills.
• Packaging of products.
