Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider.

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Fitter to join their team.

The main purpose of this Assembly Fitter role is to be hands on mechanical assembly of a range of their fabricated products.

In return, our client is offering a salary of £25493 P/A, depending on experience. this is a 6 months fixed term contract with the potential to go permanent.

This role is full-time and 6 months fixed term contract. The hours of work will be *Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 & Friday 08:00 - 13:00


Reporting to the hiring manager your responsibilities will include:

•     Prepares work to be produced by reviewing assembly instructions and specifications, confirming parts lists and gathering parts, tools and materials.
•     Positions parts and components using required drawings and/or reading measurements form the works instructions.
•     Assemble parts/components all in accordance with technical specifications and works instructions.
•     Verify assembly quality by checking/testing finished units.
•     Resolve assembly problems and find solutions in conjunction with the Team Leader.

The ideal candidate:

• Ability to read drawings
• Follow assembly instructions
• Ability to use hand and air tools
• Ability to lift heavy and awkward objects safely.
