Capital Equipment Sales Manager

  • Location: UK-wide, Field-Based
  • Salary: Negotiable DOE + Uncapped Commission + Company Car/Car Allowance
  • Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Capital Equipment Sales Manager to join a growing business supplying specialist equipment, consumables, service contracts and testing solutions across the CSSD, laboratory, pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial and commercial sectors.

This is a UK-wide, field-based sales position with responsibility for driving the growth of capital equipment sales, including autoclaves, washer-disinfectors, RO water systems, accessories and spares, while also developing opportunities across service contracts and testing services.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record within capital equipment sales and will be confident managing the full sales cycle, from initial lead generation and site surveys through to tender submissions, commercial negotiation and successful order closure.

You will work closely with NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, government and public sector organisations, pharmaceutical manufacturers and industrial clients, developing long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to grow revenue across an expanding portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full capital equipment sales cycle from lead generation through to order closure.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with NHS Trusts, private healthcare groups, government bodies and pharmaceutical/industrial clients.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK.
  • Conduct customer site visits and surveys to understand requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and manage responses to public sector tenders, frameworks and formal procurement processes.
  • Sell a range of capital equipment including autoclaves, washer-disinfectors, RO/water purification systems, accessories and spares.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell service contracts, testing services and associated solutions alongside capital equipment.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close high-value sales opportunities.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and consistently achieve or exceed agreed sales targets.
  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions and relevant networking opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale through to installation, delivery and ongoing service.
  • Provide market feedback and contribute to the continued development of the company's capital equipment and associated services offering.

The Candidate:

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven sales professional with a proven background in capital equipment sales, ideally within healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, decontamination or a related technical environment.

You will be comfortable selling into complex organisations and public sector environments, with the credibility and communication skills required to engage with senior stakeholders and procurement teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in capital equipment sales with demonstrable success against sales targets.
  • Direct experience selling into the NHS, private healthcare and/or government/public sector.
  • Experience managing public sector tenders, frameworks and procurement processes.
  • Strong product knowledge of autoclaves, washer-disinfectors and RO/water purification systems, including associated accessories and spares.
  • Experience selling service contracts and/or testing services alongside capital equipment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • The ability to develop long-term customer relationships and generate repeat business.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated and target-driven approach.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK.

What's on Offer:

  • Negotiable salary dependent on experience.
  • Uncapped commission structure.
  • Company car or car allowance.
  • Laptop and mobile phone.
  • Company pension.
  • Opportunity to join a growing business and play a key role in developing its capital equipment and associated services offering.
  • UK-wide territory with significant opportunity for new business development and revenue growth.

If you're an experienced capital equipment sales professional with a strong network across the NHS, healthcare, government, pharmaceutical or laboratory sectors, we'd love to hear from you.
