Salary: £28,000 - £32000

Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday 8:00 – 17:30 / Hybrid working available after probation

Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a CAD Design Technician to join the team.
The main purpose of this role is to produce clear, accurate technical drawings, plans and Schematics using CAD software. Working closely with engineers, architects and designers, you’ll interpret project specifications and turn concepts into build ready 2D schematics and electrical layouts

This is a full-time, permanent role The hours of work will be 8:30 -17:30
Reporting to the Head of projects your responsibilities will include:
- To interpret clear instructions and carry out works accordingly
- Design Systems to project specific specifications and consult with head of projects for approval.
- To produce high-quality detailed technical drawings and elevation plans based on designs supplied by architects and consultants to incorporate ASL’s element of work.
- Undertaking modifications to existing drawings ensuring revision detailing is communicated with document controller.
- Use a variety of design software to include AutoCAD and Revit to create mainly 2D designs, with fewer 3D opportunities currently.
- Liaise with Operations/installation team, to understand project design requirements.
- Liaise with M&E consultants, engineers and designers to understand their design process requirements.
- Conduct site visits and surveys when required.
The ideal candidate:
- 2+ years AutoCAD experience and has ability to expand knowledge of new software
- Has background in construction with basic knowledge of electrical and fire safety design
- Apply a common sense approach to tasks.
- Be tenacious in obtaining information as required and ensuring that the information is correct.
- Have a high level of attention to detail.
- Be able to understand and interpret relevant code of practice documents and building regulations.
- Be able to communicate effectively between colleagues, suppliers and clients.
- Ability to follow a defined design workflow based on required illustration level.
