Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, supporting, and managing the technical infrastructure within a highly secure environment. Your expertise will encompass a diverse set of areas, including the management of Azure services, Intune device management, cloud computing, and networking. You will also be knowledgeable in Intune best practices and the implementation of Intune in a secure environment, ensuring seamless and efficient operations. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will work collaboratively with:
Person Specification
Proficiency in hardware and software systems design and implementation, including expertise in Intune app packaging for seamless deployment and management.
Azure and Cloud Concepts: Experience with Microsoft Azure, including core services, resource management, and monitoring. Equivalent experience in AWS or Google Cloud is also considered.
Windows Server Management: Expertise in managing Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and PKI infrastructure.
Intune and Endpoint Management: Skilled in deploying, managing, and securing devices with Microsoft Intune, including app packaging, compliance policies, and troubleshooting.
Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell and Python for automation; familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform is advantageous.
Networking and Security: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and security best practices, including endpoint encryption and multi-factor authentication.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in server performance, connectivity, and infrastructure.
Disaster Recovery: Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
Monitoring and Optimization: Proficiency with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor to ensure system health and performance.
Collaboration and Mentoring: Skilled at guiding junior engineers and fostering teamwork.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and the ability to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient infrastructure solutions.
