Role: Change & Release Manager - SC
Location: London/Hybrid (1-2 days/week onsite) – other sites available throughout England
IR35: Inside
Rate: £635/day (Umbrella) MAX
Duration: 12 Months
Security Clearance: SC
Minimum Requirement:
- Change and release management experience
- DevOps background familiarity
- Hands on experience
- Coordination skills, and know how to pull a release together and make improvements on processes
- Hands on experience on change and release and within DevOps team/culture - important
- Release management experience
- CV’s must evidence hands on experience in change and release within a DevOps team and how they have technical knowledge on Jenkins, Terraform tools or similar. CV’s not showing this will be rejected.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in change management and ability to implement a successful change management process from zero to full maturity for production environments
- experience in asset and configuration management.
- Demonstrable knowledge of managing service components to ensure they meet business needs and performance targets.
- Experience diagnosing and prioritising incidents, investigating their causes and finding resolutions.
- You can manage competing priorities and proactively share knowledge with other team members
Key tasks and deliverables
- Responsible for implementation of end to end release and change management
- Acting as the daily point of contact for release management across delivery teams, leading the release by setting direction and priorities, and resolving conflicts
- Define and implement an environment management policy to ensure effective change management and to safeguard the integrity of all environments
- Managing release risk and acting as a focal point for issues and exceptions related to each risk
- Stakeholder management across technical and operational stakeholders regarding change and release management
- Recommending and implementing process improvements
- Coordinate across teams to identify and track the contents of releases, ensuring that all quality requirements for the release are met
- Manage implementation planning across teams ensuring that preparation, delivery and communication activities are carried out in accordance with the plan
- Run release retrospectives and deliver continual improvement to the release capability
- Liaising with external stakeholders and teams for governance and coordination of work
This is a long term contract of 12 months, Hybrid - 1 to 2 days per week based in a choice of locations
