Role: Nuclear Cost Engineer –SC

Location: Hybrid / Aldermaston, Reading (3 days/week on site)

IR35: Inside

Rate: £61.76/hr (Umbrella) MAX

Duration: 18 Months initially

Security Clearance: SC

Key Accountabilities:

• Implement best practice estimating policy, processes and procedures on projects.
• Providing cost estimates and cost plans within levels of certainty, provisioning effective monitoring, forecasting and control of financial limits.
• Perform and support other Estimating requirements as requested.
• Assist value engineering assessments and evaluation as part of the project process.
• Providing estimating input to performance reporting, risk and change assessments.
• Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement proposal strategies
• Providing estimating input and support to the project team with regard value engineering assessments and evaluating results as part of the project process.
• Providing estimating support to risk assessments and mitigation actions.
• Lead all phases of the cost proposal process, from analysis of RFP, historical data collection and analysis, coordinating functional inputs, evaluating S/C quotes, cost model development, and presentation to all levels of management in the proposal review process.
• Responsible for supporting the development and continuous improvement of end-to-end estimating processes and the production and maintenance of associated policies, procedures and guidelines.
