Role: Technical Lead –SC

Location: London (2-3 day/week on site)

IR35: Inside

Rate: £674.91/day (Umbrella) MAX

Duration: 6 Months

Security Clearance: SC cleared

• Experience of designing solutions at different levels

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our dynamic development team. As a technical lead you will have the ability to manage multiple, diverse, technology workstreams in an agile environment. You will provide technical leadership and architecture recommendations, whilst proactively looking for opportunities to establish patterns and best practice.

As a Technical Lead you will have relevant experience in:

• In-depth understanding of design patterns and software engineering best practices
• Experience in different levels of architecture design e.g. software, application, data
• Proven ability in providing technical leadership in an agile environment
• Previous experience in full stack development. This may be in any language, although JavaScript (React) & python will be in everyday use by the team
• Experience of key AWS platform technologies including Lambda, S3, EC2, Glue, Athena, CloudFront, AppStream
• Knowledge of building data pipelines (ETL and/or analytical pipelines) and understanding of the design of ETL Pipeline development experience in AWS
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical concepts to team members and stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce Low Level Technical Designs
• Undertake hands-on AWS engineering tasks
• Day to day technical guidance for engineers and developers
• Code reviews
• Assist engineers and developers with breaking tasks into granular tickets for sprint planning.

Desirable to have:

• You will be familiar with CI/CD
• Understanding or experience with Terraform or similar IaC
• Good understanding of Geospatial technologies especially QGIS and ArcGIS
• Experience of testing concepts from unit testing through to TDD, BDD and writing manual and automated tests
• Git as version control
