Role: IT Service Manager - Bowman – (DV or SC)

Location: Corsham (100% on site)

IR35: Inside

Rate: £650/day (Umbrella) MAX

Duration: Till March 2026

Security Clearance: SC or DV cleared

Minimum Requirement:

• Army or Navy background as being a main user of BOWMAN.
• Legacy IT systems
• Military programmes
• Strong stakeholder managements skill at all levels internal and external

The Role:

• Utilising Office 365 applications along with bespoke MOD Information Technology systems and applications (BOWMAN, CODES & SKKD) while ensuring compliance with JSP 440, 490 and 491.
• In depth knowledge of Bowman Radio Codification and BKVMS Equipment PECON, KFD and CIFID. through whole life use and maintenance.
• In depth knowledge of BKMVS, KEY VAIRIABLE, PURGE RECOVERY, IMPORT KEYS, CI PLANS, FILL GENERATION, WHOLE LIFE ACCOUNTING, ERASING and DESTROYING KEYS, HOUSEKEEPING, YEARLY KEYS and GPS ROLL OVER procedures.
• Generation and maintenance of BOWMAN management, ordering and accounting of BOWMAN Crypt Key insuring distribution and support to all BOWMAN units present and future for whole life.
• Ensuring sufficient BOWMAN key is ordered to support operational need within time constraints. This is to include the whole life procedure of all BOWMAN orders, yearly key and yearly key validation insuring each account has the correct crypto.
• Ensuring the Central Office of Records, CODES and all other documentation is kept up to date and containing relevant information.

Experience Required:

• Be familiar with JSP 440, 490 & 491 and ensuring all BOWMAN accounts are compliant with JSP 490 and JSP 491.
• Building strong relationships with all FLCs, FSC, Controlling Authorities, Key Producers and the BOWMAN User community.
• Crypto background / experience.
• Ability to work between military and civilian users / strong communication skills.
• Public sector experience (high preference)
