LGV Driver

�� Permanent | Monday to Friday | 45 hours per week

About the Role

OBM are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced LGV Driver based in Great Yarmouth. This is a full-time, permanent position offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work within a professional and safety-focused team.

You’ll be responsible for driving and operating a range of waste vacuum road tankers, curtain-sided vehicles, and vans, while providing excellent on-site customer service and adhering to company HSEQ procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate LGV, skip and roll-on/roll-off vehicles

• Operate tankers, ensuring safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials and products

• Operate curtain-sided trailers

• Provide Hazpak cover using 7.5-tonne tail-lift and 3-tonne vans

• Inspect and maintain pumps, valves, tanks, hoses, and other related equipment

• Deliver courteous and efficient service to all customers

• Complete and process all customer and regulatory paperwork accurately

• Follow company and statutory regulations at all times

• Attend team briefings and safety meetings as required

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and HSEQ compliance

• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by line management

Minimum Qualifications

• Class 1 LGV Licence

• ADR Dangerous Goods by Road Certificate

Skills, Knowledge & Behaviours

• Experience in road tanker operations and handling hazardous materials (flammable, corrosive, or toxic)

• Knowledge of waste documentation and special waste handling

• Strong understanding of safety procedures for tanker and waste operations

• Up-to-date knowledge of road traffic laws

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Reliable, flexible, and self-motivated

• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team

• Strong operational awareness and attention to detail
