An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to lead two specialist business units in the lifting & technical consultancy and recruitment sectors. This senior leadership role offers full accountability for performance, strategy, safety, people, and commercial outcomes.
You will drive growth, operational excellence, and customer value across lifting services and workforce solutions—both in the UK and internationally. This is a pivotal role in shaping business direction, building strong teams, and delivering sustainable results.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement business growth strategies
Lead P&L, budgeting, and commercial performance
Oversee safe, compliant, and efficient operations
Build strong client and stakeholder relationships
Develop high-performing, empowered teams
Ensure full compliance with safety and industry standards
About You:
Proven leadership in lifting, engineering, or recruitment
Strong commercial acumen and client management skills
Experience managing multi-site operations
Skilled in transformation, team development, and compliance
Confident communicator with board-level influence
Qualifications:
Degree in business, engineering, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Leadership or HSE qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH/IOSH) are advantageous
