Job Opportunity: Lead Materials Coordinator / Stock Count Lead
Location: : All over Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire at various vendors for third party stock count - travel expenses covered
Start Date: August
Approx 3-4 months
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Stock Count Lead to oversee the safe, accurate, and efficient stock checking of client materials held at third-party sites. This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring strong organisational and analytical skills, combined with warehouse and materials management expertise.
Coordinate with clients and third-party vendors to schedule physical inventory counts.
Issue scopes of work to vendors outlining stock count requirements and expectations.
Develop and execute inventory count plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
Conduct comprehensive physical counts (physical-to-book and book-to-physical) at third-party locations.
Identify, photograph, and document all client materials.
Perform safety assessments at vendor sites.
Flag and report damaged, expired, or non-conforming items.
Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, including recounts as needed.
Collaborate with vendors to finalise and sign off stock counts.
Prepare detailed count reports for each third-party vendor.
Management or Logistics qualification (or equivalent experience)
Full, clean UK driving licence
Strong background in warehouse/materials operations
Extensive SAP experience
High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Assertive and confident, with a collaborative approach
Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Analytical thinker with strong numerical and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused with sound commercial awareness
Proven commitment to health and safety best practices
Experience within oil & gas logistics (preferred)
Operational/Warehouse Management experience
Membership of CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport)
Champion a culture of safety and environmental compliance
Report any incidents or unsafe behaviours promptly
Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across operations
