�� Job Opportunity: Stock Count Material Controller
�� Location: Peterhead 
�� Job Type: Temporary - 3 months 


About the Role

We are looking for a diligent and detail-focused Stock Count Material Controller to support inventory accuracy across warehouse and external storage operations. This role is key to maintaining the integrity of stock data through physical checks, discrepancy resolution, and accurate system updates. You will also play an important role in material handling, preservation assessments, and stock reporting to ensure seamless material management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate stock checks and audits across warehouse and third-party storage locations

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies; amend variances in systems as required

  • Provide practical solutions to reduce and prevent recurring stock variances

  • Accurately enter, retrieve, and present stock data using ERP systems (e.g. SAP)

  • Generate stock count reports for internal review

  • Process material requests in line with company procedures and update systems accordingly

  • Identify and report damaged, expired, or non-conforming materials

  • Ensure all stock is properly labelled, stored, and protected in accordance with guidelines

  • Support ongoing warehouse operations and complete ad-hoc duties as required


Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Management or Logistics qualification (or equivalent relevant experience)

  • Strong background in warehouse or materials operations, ideally in the oil and gas sector

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)

  • Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly inventory and warehouse transactions

  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and integrity

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines

  • Familiarity with UK Oil & Gas Guidelines

  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder interaction skills

  • Strong understanding of HSEQ best practices and a proactive safety mindset

Desirable:

  • Forklift and lifting equipment certifications (e.g. Counterbalance, Reach Truck, VNA)

  • Overhead crane operation experience

  • Spill response training

  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent

  • Contribute to continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance

  • Comply with all applicable legislation, industry standards, and internal procedures

  • Actively report incidents, unsafe conditions, and near misses

  • Maintain full compliance with operational safety protocols and quality systems
