Materials Operative

Location: Echt, Aberdeenshire
Reports To: Aberdeen Warehouse Operations Manager
Start Date: ASAP - October

About the Role

On behalf of our client, we’re looking for a reliable and detail-focused Materials Operative to support efficient material handling and inventory management across onshore and offshore operations on a temporary basis. You'll act as a key contact for client queries and play a vital role in ensuring safe, timely, and accurate stock movements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage stock movements, work orders, and returns in line with procedures

• Ensure accurate ERP system updates and inventory counts

• Coordinate shipments with sailing schedules

• Liaise with clients and respond to queries promptly

• Identify and support process improvements

• Promote safe working practices and report safety concerns

Requirements

Essential:

• Valid 0–5T Reach & 5–15T Counterbalance Forklift Licences

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• IT literate and ERP experience

• Understanding of Health & Safety standards

• Team player with attention to detail and adaptability

Desirable:

• Dangerous Goods (IMDG/IATA)

• Air Cargo, COSHH, Manual Handling, CCU Packing

• IOSH Managing Safely
