Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Expeditor to join our team in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the oil and gas industry with a minimum of two years' experience in an expediting role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments and to/from vendors according to production and shipping schedules.
- Review and maintain purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Track and report on the status of all orders, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may affect the production schedule.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams to improve delivery performance and resolve any potential delays.
- Utilise systems to manage and track purchase orders, inventory, and production schedules.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that materials are available when needed and excess inventory is minimized.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an expediting role, preferably within the oil and gas industry..
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
Education:
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
