OBM are currently recruiting for a Recruitment Consultant to join their team in Aberdeen.
Job Purpose:
Working with the Recruitment Team Leader, the Recruitment Consultant supports OBM activities for permanent and contract recruitment, and contractor management to meet client needs and deliver business growth.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Promoting a positive Company image through first class service delivery & customer engagement.
- Candidate generation - identifying first class candidates through targeted networking and targeted searches on internal database and external job boards
- Managing available candidates and building lasting relationships with contractors, including site visits
- Assisting in management of key client accounts
- Strengthening client relationships through regular contact and site visits to ensure full understanding of the company needs, their work culture and environment
- Monitoring market/rate information and trends
- Attending client open days and industry events
- Maintaining and updating OBM's Candidate Management System/database
- Organising interviews for candidates as requested by the customer
- Processing worker contract documentation as per OBM QMS
- Verification of qualifications, references and identification in accordance with OBM QMS
- General recruitment administration (formatting CV's, writing job adverts)
- Advertising vacancies on social media
Minimum Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Relevant industry experience
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role with a proven track record of success.
- Working knowledge of energy market recruitment needs including key disciplines, roles and responsibilities.
- Innovative, self-driven and forward thinking with a passion for customer service.
- High levels of attention to detail with strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Effective influencing and negotiating skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, candidates and customers.
- Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
- Proactive, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while contributing to the wider team.

- Commercial/business acumen.
- Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft Office suite and confident in use of social media and CRM software packages.

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
- Experience working with Tracker ATS
- REC Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing (CertRR) or Certificate in Recruitment Practice (CertRP)
HSSEQ
- In partnership with the HSSEQ department, ensure the continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to all laws, regulations and industry standards/codes.
- Reports all incidents or breaches of policy or regulations to the line manager.
- Fully endorse the ASCO ‘Stop the Job’ policy and commitment to proactive intervention where an unsafe act or condition is observed.
- Adherence to the ASCO’s integrated management system ensuring document control and improvements to key processes is maintained.
