ESG Analyst - Sustainability - Join our leading client as an interim consultant, outside ir35, hybrid/remote with ad-hoc working from a central office HQ. Experience of the Built Environment is a big advantage.
As a Sustainability Specialist you will play a key role in leading the team and working with the wider business to achieve their sustainability strategy, measuring and interpreting the sustainability impact across the entire value chain. This includes critical areas such as carbon, biodiversity, human rights, social value, water, waste, and other priority workstreams. Your insights will drive sustainability initiatives and help shape the future.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Insight Creation: Gather, manipulate, and analyze data to assess the Groups performance in various sustainability areas. Develop actionable recommendations based on your insights.

Technology & Solution Evaluation: Review and analyze sustainability technologies and solutions. Conduct detailed feasibility studies and make practical recommendations for adoption and operation.

Performance Reporting: Develop KPIs and performance management reports in line with our sustainability strategy such as TCFD. Collaborate with Group and Divisional functions to monitor and measure the impact of initiatives.

Autonomous Project Coordination: Lead sustainability projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with our commitments. Drive engagement and collaboration across various teams.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders to foster an effective network of sustainability advocates. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in corporate sustainability strategies covering carbon, materials, biodiversity, waste, social mobility, human rights, and greenhouse gas reporting will be beneficial
- Experience with TCFD reporting is desirable.
- Proactive and autonomous working style.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and advocate for sustainability.
- Collaborative, open-minded, and receptive to diverse viewpoints.
- Skilled in identifying risks and opportunities to support sustainability goals.
- Demonstrates professional curiosity and creative thinking.
- Deep interest in best practices and the ability to effectively present these insights.
- Passionate about sustainability and its impact on the UK and global sustainability agenda.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to produce high-quality reports independently.
