We are seeking to appoint an IT Support Engineer to join well established company based in the Newmarket/Ipswich area. Covering three local sites you will be part of a broader technical team and industry leading professionals that will be able to coach and mentor for further career development.
Working with various technologies and tools you will be able to be as efficient as possible whilst helping to resolve technical issues in an onsite and remote setting
Purpose
You will be a problem solver. This will be varied and challenging. You will use technology to enable business and solve issues.
Skills & Experience
- Competent and experienced with various types of IT hardware and software including Computers, Laptops and Networking equipment and Servers.
- Knowledge and experience in cloud technologies such as Microsoft 365 using Teams, SharePoint and Exchange Online.
- Exposure to MS Azure, Azure AD etc
- Familiar with a job/ticket management system and the ability to accurately log down information
- Comfortable dealing with Microsoft Windows Desktop & Server operating systems and an ability to diagnose and resolve issues at various levels taking support from more senior members of the team when needed.
- Ability to take on the challenge of escalated support tickets with confidence to provide efficient resolutions to problems.
- Desire to contribute on a project basis
- Comfortable liaising with colleagues both in-person and remotely (calls, video, emails etc.)
- Competent with Microsoft 365 management including adding/removing users, resetting passwords as well as providing diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of Cyber Security risks and mitigation techniques.
- Ability to Google to find answers to issues quickly and efficiently.
