Job Description
Working on behalf of our client based on a site near Redditch. We are currently recruiting for a HGV Fitter on a permanent basis.This is a varied and hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of road sweepers. The position offers a mix of workshop-based work in Hanbury, Redditch, along with site-based repairs, giving you a good balance of routine and variety.
Key Duties:
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on HGVs and specialist road sweeping vehicles
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections
- Work both in the workshop and on-site as required
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Collaborate effectively as part of a small, close-knit team
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Experience working as an HGV Fitter, Mechanic, or similar role
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence beneficial but not essential)
- Circa £45,000 OTE
- Company works van (provided after training period)
- Pension scheme
- Ongoing training and development (including required courses)
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
- Occasional Saturday mornings as required
