The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are currently working with an independent firm of accountants who are looking to hire a senior personal tax assistant to bolster the tax offering to their clients.

This vacancy, the result of forecasted growth will report into the head of department and will be office based full time.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to work with a portfolio of clients to assist them in ensuring that tax initiatives and savings are maximised.  You will be working within a small team and will be involved in a range of tasks and activities.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns for:
Sole traders
Company directors
Employees with additional income
Landlords
High net worth individuals
Pensioners with complex affairs
Calculating tax liabilities and repayments.
Submitting returns to HMRC.
Monitoring filing deadlines.
Responding to HMRC queries.

Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
Calculating gains and losses on:
Property sales
Share disposals
Business asset disposals
Cryptoasset transactions
Advising on available reliefs:

The Requirements
We are seeking a candidate who has a minimum of 5 years personal tax experience.  Candidates need to be comfortable in working within a small office environment where tasks will be varied and no job is too big or small for any employee.  Candidates will need to be strong communicators and have good attention to detail.  Ideally we are looking for a tax qualification, however this is not essential.

Our client does not hold a license to offer study support so will only consider applicants who are able to work unrestricted within the UK and who are based in the immediate vicinity.
