This vacancy is the result of a long-standing employee relocating.  The role sits within a team of approximately 20 accountants who`s experience range from trainee to decades within the accounting profession. 

The role will report into the partner group and will be office based 5 days per week.  Our client has strongly indicated that staff well being is at the heart of the organisation and as such they offer various wellness schemes such as flexible working such as compressed hours.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide accounting support to a portfolio of clients ranging from manufacturing, automotive, sporting clubs, hotels and trades to name a few. 

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Preparation and review of monthly management accounts (including meaningful commentary) for a small portfolio of clients
Fill the role of “part-time” accountant within these client’s businesses
VAT compliance
Oversee and review the processing of invoices, payments, receipts, etc.
Updating of monthly forecasts and cashflows
Working within set budgets and time scales 
Coaching and mentoring our junior staff

The Requirements
Ideally, we are seeking a professionally qualified accountant however part qualified or qualified by experience applicants will be considered.  Ideally candidates will be experienced within public practice, however our client is not closed to individuals who are based in industry.  This role will be varied and will involve managing multiple priorities and client requirements at any one point so strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task and be self-disciplined are key attributes that we are looking for.  Our client has stipulated that the role will be office based full time so candidates will need to be based within the local area. 

Our client does not hold a license to offer study support so will only consider applicants who are able to work unrestricted within the UK and who are based in the immediate vicinity.
